Professor Visu Coordinated a 2 Day Professional Training Program in Pakistan
Prof. Visu was invited by the Institute of Environmental Science and Engineering of National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad, Pakistan to coordinate a 2 day professional training program on “Design, Operation and Maintenance of Reverse Osmosis (RO). This program was held from 24 to 25 October, with more than 30 participants from the industrial sector.
During this visit, he also visited few industries which has adopted membrane technology for the production processes. It was noted the demand for RO technology in Pakistan is increasing specially during the past 10 years, and there is strong need for well trained technical persons to manage these membrane installations.
Organizing a possible technical tour cum training program in AIT during mid next year was explored as a possibility of a joint activity between AIT and NUST. IESE, will explore this possibility with the major industrial estates locate in Lahore and Karachi. In addition, during this visit, Prof. Visu also had a discussion to re-activate earlier proposal on AIT- NUST join degree program on Environmental Engineering and Management submitted to Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
