Energy Alumnus, Prof. Somchai Wongwises is on the list of 2018 Highly Cited Researchers
Energy Alumnus, Prof. Somchai Wongwises is on the list of 2018 Highly Cited Researchers in the field of Engineering. Prof. Somchai graduated from AIT’s School of Environment, Resources and Development with Master of Engineering in Energy in 1984.
Prof. Somchai specialises in Fluid Mechanics, Thermal Engineering and Multiphase Flow Research Lab (FUTURE). He is currently working at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT).
Prof. Somchai said that Highly Cited Researchers from Clarivate Analytics is an annual list recognizing leading researchers in the sciences and social sciences from around the world. The final list contains about 6,000 Highly Cited Researchers in 22 fields of the sciences and social sciences. The 2018 list focuses on contemporary research achievement: only Highly Cited Papers in science and social sciences journals indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection during the 11-year period 2006 – 2016 were surveyed. Highly Cited Papers are defined as those that rank in the top 1% by citations in the field and publication year in the Web of Science. Highly Cited Researchers are leading the way in solving the world’s biggest Challenges.
