The 2018 Think development – Think wider Conference was held on 13 – 15 September 2018 in Helsinki, Finland.
The UNU-WIDER brought together invited speakers for the conference for larger audiences to broaden the thinking around the paradigm for development.
The conference held panel discussions on all of the main themes and findings of UNU-WIDER’s research during 2009 – 2018: Finance, Food and Climate Change; and transformation, inclusion and sustainability. The event aimed to mobilize evidence and action around the 2030 SDG agenda and its goals.
Bangabandhu Chair Professor Joyashree Roy spoke on her research findings on climate response strategies for decoupling growth and emissions strategies as adopted by some large developing countries like India over past decades.
